Oasis - Chasing the Sun (2 of 45)

Popped into the Chasing the Sun: Oasis 1993-1997 yesterday, a new exhibition in Shoreditch featuring iconic images, memorabilia and artefacts curated by legendary photographer Lawrence Watson.

Complete with a full sized replica of the room that featured on the cover of Definitely Maybe and an audio-visual room featuring videos and commentary from Oasis, fans attended in their droves paying homage to a band that pretty much defined britpop in the 90’s.

Rare and unseen images from photographers including Paul Slattery, Jill Furminovsky, Kevin Cummins, Tom Sheehan and Jamie Fry graced the walls and artefacts such as the white parka coat worn by Liam Gallagher at Glastonbury and Alan White’s drum kit were also present.

Definitely a trip down memory lane and one not to be missed by avid fans, Chasing the Sun: Oasis 1993 – 1997 is on between the 11th – 22th  April 2014 at the Londonewcastle Project Space, 28 Redchurch St, London, E2 7DP.
